I have many values that help me reach a certain goal that I have set out for myself, but there are six that are key to succession because of how much I can accomplish with them in my daily life. Firstly, I value interpersonal skills, such as care, friendliness and team-work. I am able to accept and value others along with their values, which allows for me to participate well in groups and reach a common goal. I find it very easy to socialize with others. Secondly, I value organization. I am able to organize work to reach a certain target. I am also able to plan and carry on actions effectively. I like to have everything running in an orderly manner to minimize any chance of failure. Thirdly, I value learning. I always want to learn more about things. Also, I am able to learn how to do a task in a short period of time. This allows for me to act without constant direction. Fourthly, I value determination. I always set goals out for myself and take initiative to reach those goals. As a result, I am always firm in my actions and am always determined. Fifthly, I value hard-work because of how far this can get one in life. I put 110% effort into everything that I do. I always try to accomplish everything that I set out to achieve, which requires me to work diligently. Lastly, I value communication.I enjoy discussing issues, topics, events, and viewpoints with others. Also, I am also very advanced in presenting information to people. I value all of these skills because they are key to succession in one's daily life and work.
I have had four years of work experience as meal manager at Trinity Nursing Home after all of the volunteer work I have completed there. My work involved assisting in distributing food to the patients and cleaning up the waste left behind. It was important for me to socialize with the patients and listen to the exiting stories that they had to share. Whenever I was assigned a task, I completed it to the best of my abilities. It is guaranteed that failure is not an option in my case. All my work experience has helped me develop skills that are essential to be a nurse, such as interpersonal skills like care, team-orientation, and friendliness.
Not only did I have the opportunity to volunteer and work with nurses, but I studied nursing at McMaster University. I successfully graduated Nursing School, earning a Master's Degree in Nursing. University was difficult, but my hard work paid off with good grades and friendships. I had the opportunity to utilize all of the education and training I received through working at the Northern District Hospital as a Registered Nurse. My experience and education have made me confident that I am capable to handle any registered nursing job.
